Insurance quote is impressive

Thanks for the email from LPOG about the insurance quote application forms. I got one quote today the premium is much cheaper than our current insurer which POAAL gets a big kick back from our insurance. I am definitely going to quit POAAL and our current insurer and go for to the one that LPOG has negotiated. I am glad I have joined LPOG and already benefited from being its member.

Insurance Quotes

I too was very happy with the money I have saved from the suggested insurance company. I have learnt more from this website and other LPO owners coments here in the last 2 months than I have learnt in the last 5 years of owning my office. I have taken up the suggestions of other suppliers from LPO owners and have gone from being very down on being able to grow my business to being a lot more positive. Thank You LPOG !!!! Im looking forward to the future. =)

Great News Wormies72

That is good to hear Wormies72. It is exactly what we hoped we could achieve by working together to build better outcomes for all of us. Nothing like finding out how other people get good outcomes to generate a bit of inspiration. And I love your worm.

Thanks LPO Group. We saved more than half the premium by getting our insurance cover from the suggested insurance company. We cannot wait to pay the LPO Group membership fee.

So much better off.....

Top work LPOG......My premium is less than half what I paid last year. Perhaps we could put up a section on the open forums where we can let other licensees know how much better off they could be by posting about our own experience.

Without any information about insurance company you get your premium from make your claim looks very suspicious

Management Liability Insurance - POAAL has it parceled up

Last year I had management liability insurance via GWS.

I think management liability inurance is an important coverage for a licensee.

This year I asked GWS why they did not send me a renewal notice and they told me that I now had to get it via POAAL. However, POAAL only offer it to POAAL members, and by design I am no longer a financial member. I approached other insurers such as Marsh and Willis but they said they don't currently offer this insurance to licensees.

I don't see why I have to spend nearly $300 on being a POAAL member solely to get this insurance which costs less than $300 annually.

Is this an example of the illegal exercise of monopoly power by POAAL, under trade practices legislation?

Liability Insurance

Could you send or email a copy of this policy to LPOG so we can seek this cover for members. We have discussed this with both Willis and Marsh and they are looking to provide this cover in the future. We can also look at other providers in the mean time.

The POAAL policy may be a group policy and is restricted to POAAL members. That is how their public liability works. They have a master policy and charge their members to be covered under the master policy. It is a good method to keep up the membership if you don't have much to offer!

Post Office Insurance

I have obtained really good policies however the excess is much higher on both Public Liability and Business insurance. Considering the rare nature of claims the saving stacks up.My insurance bill almost halved.

I have been dealing with GWS

I have been dealing with GWS Network Insurance Brokers for many years. Their insurance offer includes many additional benefits and is very competetive. their customer focus and attention to claims (yes they do occur) are excellent. I want them on my side. :)

GWS - Management Liability

Yes I have had the same experience. Top job GWS not only for delivering the right LPO Business Insurance deal but for working to deliver products that cover emerging risks like Management Liability Insurance for LPO's. You're at least (2) years in front of your competetors who appear to have ignored identifying risk and offering a solution. Keep up the good work!

Good News about GWS

Great to hear from posters about excellent cover provided by GWS. Unfortunately it is locked into POAAL membership and therefore excludes any Licensees at the liberty of POAAL

Hopefully GWS may see the need to end the kick back program with POAAL and offer Licensees the best deal available regardless of their affiliation.

Meanwhile LPOG will work on sourcing insurance that is for every Licensee, not selected Licensees. The best outcome for all of us.

Many LPOs around us also had

Many LPOs around us also had dealings with GWS. Their business insurance alone is more expensive than Public Liability and Business & Building insurance altogether from the insurers that LPOG recommended. Perhaps their Management Liability insurance is a creation instructed by POAAL to shift AP's responsibility to LPOs. From my own experience dealing with GWS, they talk like POAAL's puppet. POAAL helps them get businesses and they offer kick backs in returning favour. I don't see they will dump the kick back program sooner. Won't deal with them ever again.

Management Liability Insurance

Has anyone had any success making a claim against this insurance? LPOG has only heard from 1 Licensee in regard to a claim and everything he claimed was knocked back. LPOG do not have any details about why the claim was knocked back so it may have been a fair outcome. Any other experience of this policy?

Can someone please give us the details of LPOG recommended insurers to contact? We never seemed to receive an email from LPOG with these details.
Thanks

Should have all this years

Information by next week and we will post the contact details and the offer on the home page. At present we are having constructive discussions with Marsh and Willis on the full range of policies necessary for LPOs.

public liability insurance

We used to have a public liability insurance policy as a member of POAAL. Now I am in LPOG so what is my option?
